Strong People Rarely Have Easy Lives

Albert Einstein has many great quotes that circulate LinkedIn and Facebook. One of my personal faves is:

If you're a go getter, if your inner drive strives for more, if you've had challenges that keep you wondering, the difficulty that flows soon ebbs. But it helps us grow, it helps us learn, and most importantly it strengthens our resilience factor. The human spirit is one that speaks of perseverance and flexibility.

Think about the times when you have been knocked down. There were others who believed in you. Sometimes they said it when you were going through it. Other times, you learned years later that they were supportive and watching, both learning and cheering. You got back up and learned more about others and about yourself, gaining wisdom that helps you in future situations.

The hardship is never easy...but it does bring strength of character when we are able to battle the negative effects of the stressors we encounter.

Challenges and setbacks are inevitable in life. No highly successful person ever has an easy past. As a matter of fact, those who are most successful are generally those who face more adversity because they take on risks that might often come with more down sides. It doesn't mean they always struggle, but in time the struggles are easier to rebound from.

Each lesson we learn helps us strengthen our capacity to understand hardship. It shifts our thinking. It refocuses our perspective on life.

But its never easy.
